Following a distinguished career as a neurologist, specialising in epilepsy, Dr Laidlaw retired to Peebles where he took up his passion for abstract painting.
I was commissioned by him to photograph his works for archive and reproduction and was instrumental in helping him gain a life long dream of having his work exhibited through getting him published in Border Life magazine (issue 53 Autumn 2007).
