'Edinburgh Panorama from Moorfoot Hills'

We've had a couple of calm, clear and bright days recently so it was a good opportunity to go and explore somewhere else locally.

A 15min drive from town up the Leithen Road takes you to the foot of the Moorfoot Hills which drop dramatically onto a large peat moor area and reveals a stunning vista of the Pentland Hills range, the city of Edinburgh with The Crags and Arthur's Seat ( a volcanic plug) and Forth Estuary behind. Just off to the right out of view on this shot, lies Berwick Law and North Berwick in East Lothian.

In background lies the Kingdom of Fife and the east coast.
